The answer: yes! We can sublimate on 100% silk. However, it is not without a few drawbacks.
- The print will be faded (has a soft vintage look).
- The print will fade after washing (until what extent, we are not certain yet).
- The fabric will slightly shrink.
If you are adamant about printing on silk, we recommend bringing a 7″ x 7″ piece for a complimentary printing for you to take home and do some testing. The other option is to use poly silk/satin/twill for better results without compromising vibrancy.
